The public relations department of the game company Bushiroad announced on Saturday that production on a second season of the Detective Opera Milky Holmes (Tantei Opera Milky Holmes) anime series has been green-lit. The second season will premiere on Tokyo MX and other television stations in January of 2012.

The website Crunchyroll streamed the first anime season outside Japan as it aired last year. A television special was already green-lit for this summer.
