The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies is based on the manga by Cocoa Fujiwara (Inu x Boku SS). The 4-koma was serialized in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker from September 21, 2013 to March 20, 2015 and is Fujiwara’s last work, as she passed in 2015.
The manga, which has been collected into three tankoubon volumes, follows Mira, the brains behind an evil organization that invades and destroys everything. During the invasion of Earth, a lone magical girl called Byakuya Mimori stands against the organization, and their encounter leads to Mira falling in love with her.
