The Story of An Exploration Hero Who Has Worked His Way Up From Common People (Mob Kara Hajimaru Tansaku Eiyuu Tan) anime adaptation will begin airing this year. A key visual, trailer, and details about the main cast and staff have been released.
The anime is a Gekkou production with Tomoki Kobayashi (Remake Our Life) as director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess) as series composer, Sachiko Yasuda (Our Happy Marriage) as character designer, and Keiji Inai (Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion) as music composer. The lead voice actors are Yuuya Hozumi as Kaito Takagi and Kana Hanazawa as Sylphie.
The Story of An Exploration Hero Who Has Worked His Way Up From Common People is based on the HJ Bunko light novels written by Kaito and illustrated by Arumikku. The series started in 2021 and will release its eighth volume on February 1, 2024. The premise involves the appearance of a dungeon in Japan, with the protagonist being an unimpressive high school student who hunts slimes there every day. His fortunes change after he defeats a gold slime and gains a super rare summoning item called the Servant Card.
The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation by Terio Teri. The story was originally a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel that began in 2019.
