A fourth anime film will be released in Japanese theaters sometime in the summer of 2024.

The seventh season will have Kenji Nagasaki (director of the first three seasons) return as chief director, with Yousuke Kuroda as series composer and scriptwriter, Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima as character designers, and Yuuki Hayashi as music composer. Naomi Nakayama (Koikimo, Orange chief director), who has had some previous involvement with the anime, is serving as the series director for season seven.

The anime is based on the action manga series by Kouhei Horikoshi, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on July 7, 2014 and has released 39 tankoubon volumes as of November 2023. The manga is published under the Jump Comics label.
