A new main visual and announcement trailer have been released for the second part of the Oomuro-ke anime film series. The second part titled “dear friends” will be released theatrically in Japan on June 21, 2024. The first part “dear sisters” premiered in Japan on February 2, 2024.
Naoyuki Tatsuwa (Nisekoi director) is directing and storyboarding the anime film series, with Masahiro Yokotani (Re: Zero) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Ueta Kazuyuki (Love Flops) as character designer, and Yuusuke Shirato (In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki) as music composer. Passione and Studio Lings are handling the animation production for the films.

The films are based on Namori‘s Oomuro-ke manga, which is a spinoff based on the YuruYuri manga series. The spinoff series follows the lives of the Oomuro sisters. It has been serialized on Ichijinsha’s Yurihime@pixiv and Niconico Yuri Hime since February 17, 2013 and has released six tankoubon volumes as of December 2022.
Namori’s main YuruYuri manga series began on June 18, 2008 and has inspired various anime series and OVAs.
