Masaoki Shindou‘s Ruri Dragon manga, which went on hiatus in 2022 due to Shindou’s health, will resume its serialization this March.
The manga, about a teenager who discovers she is half-dragon, debuted in June 2022 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and released six chapters prior to its break. The first few new chapters, specifically seven to 11, will also be released via WSJ, beginning with Issue 14 (which goes on sale on March 4). Starting from April 22, however, Ruri Dragon will transfer over to the digital version of the magazine as well as Shonen Jump+. Additionally, the pace of new chapter releases will change so that a chapter is released every other issue.
The existing chapters of Ruri Dragon have been collected into a tankoubon volume, which went on sale in October 2022. They can also be found in English on Manga Plus. The manga placed first in the Zenkoku Shotenin ga Eranda Osusume Comic (Comic Recommendations by Bookstore Employees Nationwide) 2023 ranking and ranked nine in the male reader category of the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) 2024 guidebook.
