Netflix has revealed a new teaser visual and trailer for Studio Colorido’s upcoming anime film My Oni Girl. The film will begin streaming on Netflix on May 24, 2024, which lists it with a length of an hour and 52 minutes on its website.
The main voice cast of My Oni Girl is headlined by Kensho Ono as Hiiragi Yatsuse and Miyu Tomita as Tsumugi.
Tomotaka Shibayama (A Whiskey Away co-director) is directing the anime film at Studio Colorido, with Yuuko Kakihara (The Apothecary Diaries, Blue Orchestra) as writing the screenplay along with Shibayama. Nami Kubota is serving as the film’s music composer.
Other staff members include Masafumi Yokota (Shine on! Bakumatsu Bad Boys) as character designer, Sunao Chikaoka (Hakubo, Revisions original character designs) as character design assistant, Miho Tanaka (The Yuzuki Family’s Four Sons) as color designer, Kunihiko Inaba (Meganebu!, Giovanni’s Island) as art director, Satoshi Machida as composting director, and Eriko Kimura (Penguin Highway) as sound director.
My Oni Girl is the second of three films that Netflix is producing with Studio Colorido, which has produced Penguin Highway, A Whisker Away, and Drifting Home.

My Oni Girl tells the story of Hiiragi Yatsuse, a first-year high school student who struggles to make friends despite his efforts to please others. His life takes an unexpected turn when one summer day, he meets Tsumugi, an oni (demon) girl on a quest to find her mother in the human world. Snow mysteriously begins to fall… and their adventure begins.
