A new key visual and trailer have been released for the upcoming Chibi Godzilla Raids Again anime sequel. The sequel series of shorts will begin airing in Japan for a year, starting on April 3, 2024, as part of the “Oha! Star” TV program.
The trailer also reveals the addition of Maaya Uchida as the voice of the new character Chibi Minilla — a chibi version of Godzilla’s adopted son Minilla.
Uchida join a returning voice cast that includes:

Taketo Shinkai (Anime Kaisha de Hanasu Koto ka yo) is returning as director for the Chibi Godzilla Raids Again sequel, along with illustrator Chiharu Sakazaki (Chibi Godzilla designer) as character designer. Pie in the sky is handling the animation production for the series once again, which Shinkai co-founded and serves as creative director in.
Chibi Godzilla Raids Again aired for a total of 13 episodes from April 1, 2023 to June 24, 2023. Each short has a duration of around two-minutes-and-forty-seconds.
The short anime is inspired by the Chibi Godzilla designs that were revealed in 2018, leading up to Godzilla‘s 65th anniversary in 2019. The designs debuted in the children’s book Do Your Best, Chibi Godzilla! and have since appeared in other picture books, a music video, and the 2020-2021 short-form 3D-animated web series I’m Home! Chibi Godzilla. The chibi characters have also been used for various products like T-shirts, onesies, pocket books, and many more merchandise.
