Summer Time Rendering’s Yasuki Tanaka has launched a new supernatural action manga series called Ghost Fixers on Shonen Jump+. The first chapter debuted on March 22.
The new weekly manga is set in Mikurigaoka Newtown, which is the site of otherworldly phenomena called GHOSTs. The titular Ghost Fixers are part of an organization that deals with these phenomena. Ghost Fixers‘ main characters are Hifumi, a middle schooler who lives in the town, and Moka, a girl who has recently moved in.
Tanaka’s previous works include the supernatural action manga Hitomi no Catoblepas and Gaist Crusher (part of a multimedia series that spawned from a 3DS game). His Summer Time Rendering series ran from 2017 to 2021 on Shonen Jump+ and was collected into 13 tankoubon volumes. That manga inspired a two-cour anime adaptation produced by OLM that ran from April to September 2022 and a video game. There are also plans for an escape room game and a live-action movie.
