A second pair visual has been released for the upcoming Medalist skating TV anime series, highlighting Hikaru Kamisaki and Jun Yodaka. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan sometime in January 2025.
Yasutaka Yamamoto (The Tale of the Outcasts, Nekopara) is directing the anime, with Jukki Hanada (The Dangers in My Heart) as series screenwriter, Chinatsu Kameyama (In Another World With My Smartphone 2) as character designer and co-chief animation director, Yuuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia, Arknights: Perish in Frost) as music composer, and Shotaro Hori (KamiErabi GOD.app co-animation supervisor) as 3DCG animation supervisor. ENGI is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast includes:

- • Takeo Ootsuka as Tsukasa Akeuraji
- • Kana Ichinose as Hikaru Kamisaki
- • Yuuma Uchida as Jun Yodaka
The anime series is based on the sports manga by Tsurumaikada, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon on May 25, 2020. Ten tankobon volumes have been released as of March 2024. The manga also won the Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taisho 2022 award in the comics category and the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award in the general category.
Kodansha USA releases the Medalist manga series in English, describing the synopsis as:
Tsukasa, whose dreams were crushed. Inori, left to fend for herself. These two share a dream…and their tenacity may be the only thing that sees them through. Their destination? The ice…on the world’s stage!
