Days With My Step Sister Anime Releases New Trailer, Reveals July 4 Premiere and Theme Songs

A new trailer for the Days With My Step Sister romance-drama anime has been released, providing another look at the upcoming adaptation and previewing its main supporting cast.

A July 4 JST Japanese premiere date was also revealed, as was the news that fhána and Kitri are the theme song artists. fhána is singing the opening “Tenshitachi no Uta” while Kitri is singing the ending song “Suisou no Buranko.”

Days With My Step Sister is based on the MF Bunko J light novel series written by Ghost Mikawa and illustrated by Hiten, which began publication in 2021 and will release its 11th volume on July 25, 2024 JST. Yen Press describes the premise as:

After his father remarries, Yuuta suddenly finds himself with a new stepsister: Saki, the greatest beauty at school. Neither of them is sure how to act around the other at first, but the two gradually grow more comfortable living together. Slowly, cautiously, patiently, two strangers become more. So begins an unlikely love story.

The light novels are part of a wider project that started as a YouTube video series with voiced illustrations (the videos’ cast are reprising their roles for the anime). The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation drawn by Yumika Kanae.
