Almost a year after its first season concluded, the popular idol anime Oshi no Ko is returning with its second season on July 3, 2024. Diving into the Tokyo Blade arc, which follows Aqua’s involvement in a stage play adaptation of a popular manga with a dark secret, the first episode sets the tone for what will follow in the season.

Oshi no Ko is a manga series written by Kaguya Sama: Love is War creator Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, who is author of Kuzu no Honkai. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 2020, with its chapters collected in fourteen tankobon volumes as of April 2024.
By November 2023, Oshi no Ko had over 15 million copies in circulation.
