Anime distributor AnimEigo has announced the home media and streaming release of the 1989 Riding Bean OVA special on September 10, 2024.
The OVA was directed by Yasuo Hasegawa (Tenchi Muyo series producer) with a screenplay written by Kenichi Sonoda (Gunsmith Cats, Otaku no Video) and a musical score composed by American keyboardist David Garfield. Sonoda also handled the OVA’s character designer and is credited as the original creator. AIC was the animation production company.
The Riding Bean OVA Blu-ray Edition has the following special features:

The OVA will be available on Blu-ray, as well as streaming on video-on-demand platforms such as Google Play, YouTube, and Amazon. Pre-orders are now open on the Blu-ray’s official website via MediaOCD, which is offering an exclusive slipcover for the product for orders made directly on its online store.
