Seedsow Lullaby, An Adventure Visual Novel About 3 Generations of Women and a Funeral for Gods, Reveals OP Movie and Winter 2024 Release Date


ANIPLEX has released the opening movie for the upcoming ANIPLEX.EXE-published visual novel Seedsow Lullaby (Tanetsumi no Uta), which features sola‘s “Yoru o Koeru” as the opening song. A Winter 2024 release date for the fantasy adventure game was also revealed.

Seedsow Lullaby will be available on Steam, while Japanese players will be able to find it on DMM GAMES and DLsite as well. 

The visual novel’s non-branching story will follow 16-year-old Misuzu, who receives a surprise visit from the 16-year-old version of her late mother, Yoko. Yoko brings Misuzu on a journey to the land of gods, where Yoko has been tasked with conducting the Seedsow Ceremony that that lays old gods to rest in order for “a new generation of immortal deities to usher in a new age.” Along the way, they also meet Tsumugi, Misuzu’s future 16-year-old daughter, and Hiruko, who claims himself to be the younger brother of Misuzu.

Seedsow Lullaby was announced in March and is described as the third ANIPLEX.EXE project. The “novel game” brand was introduced in 2019, with ATRI -My Dear Moments- and Adabana Odd Tales being the first titles to be released under it (both came out in June 2020). November 2023 saw the release of the Hira Hira Hihiru visual novel.

iMel Inc. is credited with the programming for Seedsow Lullaby. The staff includes Yow (If My Heart had Wings producer and director, ATRI animator) as director, STUDIO・HOMMAGE’s Kazuki as planner and scriptwriter, popman3580 and Maniani as character designers, and Moeki Harada as music composer.

The ending theme song is ”Seedsow Lullaby” by Rita.
