A trailer for the upcoming indie anime Ai no Yakusoku was released a few days ago, previewing its premise, main characters, and visuals.
More recently, its X (formerly Twitter) account announced Kohana Lam as its theme song artist and MINA as the insert song artist.
The main protagonist of Ai no Yakusoku is a boy called Ran, who appears to be stuck in another world where he is taken in by a mage referred to as Sensei. Ran has to learn magic to return home, but as the trailer reveals, he also grows attached to Sensei during his stay with her. Additionally, Sensei reveals that this world holds a secret.
Ai no Yakusoku is produced by the production team Studio Harutonari and is set to premiere on August 30 JST. On July 15 JST, it was announced that a crowdfunding campaign will be launched on July 20 at 11 AM JST in order to improve the anime’s quality and to deliver it to more people.
The cast members haven’t been announced, although some commenters believe that Sensei is voiced by Sora Amamiya.
A notable seiyuu being involved in an indie anime production isn’t outside the realm of possibility, as the 2022 anime music video “Living in a world without magic” had Natsuki Hanae in its cast.
