Bandai Namco has released Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, and Uryu Ishida character trailers for the upcoming Bleach: Rebirth of Souls 3D fighting game.
As the general descriptions of the characters’ playstyles near the start and end of the trailers explain, Ichigo is an easy-to-use but “very powerful and resourceful in-fighter” who does high damage, while Rukia, who has multiple Hado spells in her arsenal, is someone with “plenty of resources to adapt to her opponents in battle.” Ishida, unsurprisingly, is about staying away with ranged attacks.
In addition to showing off the way these characters fight, the trailers also come with text descriptions of the moves that are being shown on-screen. For instance, Ichigo’s trailer reveals that using the Reverse action — which is described as the “key to offense and defense in this game” — with him provides additional bonuses like more Kikon Move damage and improved “basic performance.”
The character trailers also provide a peek at the powerful Awakening abilities. For Rukia, Awakening means activating Shikai: Sodenoshirayuki to buff her “overall capabilities” and transform her Spiritual Pressure Moves to “compliment” Sodenoshirayuki. In the case of Uryu, players will get more damage and the ability to gather more Spiritual Power, the resource for the game’s Spiritual Pressure Moves. Uryu also has a Reawakening move where he activates Quincy: Letz Stile, though the in-game effects of this ability aren’t explained by the trailer.
Bleach Rebirth of Souls will be released on Xbox Series X/S, Steam, PS4, and PS5. Tamsoft is the developer.
