The second season of the golfing TV anime series Rising Impact is now streaming on Netflix, as of August 6, 2024. The company released a new English-subbed trailer highlighting the second season, which will contain 14 total episodes. The first season was released on Netflix on June 22, 2024.
Hitoshi Nanba (Golden Kamuy, Tomo–chan Is a Girl!) is directing the anime, with Michihiro Tsuchiya (Major series screenwriter) as screenwriter and scriptwriter, Studio DURIAN′s Kiyotaka Oshiyama (Flip Flappers director, Chainsaw Man devil designer) as character designer, and Masaru Yokoyama (Horimiya) as music composer. Lay-duce is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

The anime is based on the golf manga series by The Seven Deadly Sins creator Nakaba Suzuki. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from November 24, 1998 to February 19, 2002 for 17 total tankobon volumes. The series was supposed to end in 1999, but reader response led to its return around three months later.
New editions of the manga were released starting May 2, 2024, with more volumes expected throughout the summer.
Netflix describes the synopsis of Rising Impact as:
In Rising Impact, Gawain Nanaumi is a third-grader with an incredible love for baseball and making the ball really fly. In a chance encounter with a female professional golfer, Kiria Nishino, he learns that golf will allow him to hit a ball further than any other sport.
Using his physical strength and keen observational skills gained from living in a rural mountain area, he manages to hit the ball to such an impressive distance that it rivals even that of professionals. With Kiria’s help, the new golf enthusiast enrolls at Camelot Academy, a prestigious school for both skilled and aspiring golfers from around the world. Gawain wants to be the best professional golfer in the world but there are other golf prodigies with extraordinary skills that stand in his way and he has to face various trials to overcome them.
