Dr. STONE’s Final Season 4 Slated For 2025 Release; To Air Across Three Cours


The official website of Dr. STONE anime revealed that it’s fourth and final season, titled Dr. STONE: SCIENCE FUTURE, is set to air in 2025.

The season will be split into three cours, marking the end of the science-driven adventure that began in 2019.

Alongside this announcement, a teaser visual has been released, featuring the main character, Senku, gazing up at the moon with a young version of himself, accompanied by the phrase, “We’ll go to the moon, and we’ll do it fast.

The teaser hints at the upcoming challenges Senku and his friends will face as they continue their journey in the Stone World, where humanity has been turned to stone.

Additionally, it was also revealed that as part of the celebration for the anime’s 5th anniversary, an original artwork exhibition will be conducted.

The exhibit will begin in November 2024 in Yurakucho, Tokyo, and will then tour other cities, including Hakata, Fukuoka, and Namba, Osaka. Further details will be shared on the official Dr. STONE social media channels.

Dr. STONE is based on the manga written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2017 to March 2022.

The manga has surpassed 17 million copies in circulation.

Set in a world where humanity has been mysteriously petrified for thousands of years, the story follows the genius scientist Senku as he revives civilization from scratch, using his scientific knowledge to recreate modern technology in a Stone Age-like world.

The anime adaptation has seen three successful seasons, with the first airing from July to December 2019, the second from January to March 2021, and the third split into two parts airing in 2023.
