A new character PV trailer has been released for the upcoming Magic Maker: Isekai Mahou no Tsukurikata TV anime series, highlighting lead character Shion’s older sister, Marie. The anime will premiere in Japan in 2025.
Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 1 and 2, The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases) is directing the anime series, with Keiichiro Ochi (The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio) as series screenwriter, Takayuchi Noguchi (The Angel Next Door) as character designer, and Kei Yoshikawa (Love of Kill) and Kana Hashiguchi (Classroom of the Elite Season 2 and 3 co-composer) as music composers. Studio Deen is handling the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars Megumi Han as Shion and Ai Kakuma as Marie.
The anime adaptation is based on the fantasy light novel series, written by Kazuki Kaburagi and illustrated by Kururi. It was first published under Kadokawa’s MF Books label on May 25, 2020 and has released two volumes as of December 2020. The light novels began as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website that was first published on June 9, 2017. It was later released on Kakuyomu in 2018.
A manga adaptation by Tomozo Nishioka ran in Mag Garden’s Manga Doa magazine from June 19, 2021 to February 4, 2023. Three tankobon volumes were released in total.
Magic Maker: Isekai Mahou no Tsukurikata centers on two young siblings from a minor noble family: Marie, the elder sister who enjoys the outdoors, and Shion, a shy bookworm who remembers his love of magic from his past life. One day, Shion asks his father about the existence of magic in this new world, but is met with confusion because it doesn’t exist. After encountering a strange phenomenon, he and his sister embark on an adventure to find proof of magic in their world.
