Kagurabachi Launches New Fan Art Contest Where Winning Character Will Feature In Upcoming Chapter

Hokazono Takeru’s Kagurabachi is all set to celebrate its 1st anniversary in a big way. As part of the celebrations, the series is launching a fan contest that allows readers to create and submit designs of their own ‘Mob Sorcerer’ characters.

The winning character will be featured in the intro page of an upcoming chapter, where the character will be killed off by the protagonist Chihiro.

More details regarding the contest are yet to be revealed.

This contest is just one of several projects planned for the anniversary.

The manga is also releasing a special collaboration illustration with Girl Meets Rock! Both series recently won awards at the Tsugu ni Kuru Manga Awards 2024.

Merchandise, including acrylic figures, stickers, and mascot characters, will also be unveiled.

It was previously revealed that as a part of the 1st anniversary, Kagurabachi will be featured on the cover page of the upcoming Weekly Shonen Jump issue #40 releasing on Sep 2, 2024.

Kagurabachi has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since September 2023. The first tankobon volume was released on Feb 2, 2024.

The series’ third volume was published in July 2024, with Naruto author Masashi Kishimoto recommending Kagurabachi manga in the volume.

Viz Media and Shueisha’s Manga Plus platform are publishing the series in English.

It has also garnered significant international attention. The English version of Chapter 1 achieved the top spot in global views on MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA just one week after its debut.

It was chosen as the best up-and-coming manga on Shueisha’s Manga Plus app by fans during Anime Expo 2024.
