A new PV trailer and key visual has been released for the Japanese dub broadcast of Fairies Album Season 2. The fantasy donghua animated series will begin broadcasting on Fuji TV’s B8station late-night timeslot on October 2, 2024.
In addition, the trailer also confirmed the return of three Japanese voice cast members who will be reprising their roles from the first season. They include Nao Toyama as Tao Yao, Ayumu Murase as Moya, and Kengo Kawanishi as Liu.
Bilibili has produced four seasons of Fairies Album so far, with each containing 12 total episodes. The first season was released in 2020, the second season in 2021, the third season in 2022, and the fourth season in 2024. Haoliners Animation League are in charge of the animation production for the series.
The donghua series is based on the 2016 Chinese novel Bai Yao Pu by author Sha Luo Shuang Shu.
B8station previously aired Japanese dubs for both seasons of Link Click, The Girl Downstairs, and the first season of Fairies Album.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming the third and fourth seasons of Fairies Album, describing the general synopsis as:
The planes humans and spirits exist on has always felt impossibly distant, but in this land’s capital, they’re closer than we could ever imagine. This is a world where the Spirit Doctor, Tao Yao, is seen as a savior and monster by these otherworldly beings. With her companions Mr. Liu, Moya, and Gungun, together they set out on a journey full of interactions with rich flavor.
