The upcoming 43rd issue (2024) of Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits will see the start of a new serialization titled Shisutarejisuta, which has Insomniacs After School creator Makoto Ojiro as the artist and anime series composer and director Mari Okada (Maboroshi, Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms) as the writer.
Described as an “Idol x Family” manga, Shisutarejisuta will have a focus on the people who make the costumes worn by idols. The story will center around one particular family.

The 43rd issue of Big Comic Spirits will go on sale in Japan on September 20 JST.
Ojiro’s previous manga, Insomniacs After School, ran from 2019 to 2023 in Big Comic Spirits. It follows two insomniac students who meet by chance and revive their school’s astronomy club. The manga inspired a TV anime adaptation that aired during the Spring 2023 anime season.
