A new PV trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming Tono to Inu TV anime series, which also revealed its main production staff, theme song, and premiere dates for four different versions of the show.
The four versions of the anime will feature different voice actors for the Tono character, as previously announced last month. The weekly broadcast schedule of each version is as follows:
Tono to Inu ~Wanwan!~ Akio Otsuka ver.

Tono to Inu ~Potepote!~ Tomokazu Sugita ver.
- • Fridays beginning October 11, 2024
Tono to Inu ~Kunkun!~ Shunsuke Takeuchi ver.
- • Sundays beginning October 13, 2024
Tono to Inu ~Mofumofu!~ Masaki Aiba ver.
- • Mondays beginning October 14, 2024
Meanwhile, the anime’s main theme song is “Little Lovers” by nine-piece boy group SUPER★DRAGON.
Haruki Kasugamori (Astro Note, Dragon Goes House-Hunting) is directing the anime, with Shun Miyazaki as music composer and Noriyoshi Konuma (The Dangers in My Heart) as sound director. OLM and Live2D Creative Studio are handling the animation production for the series.
Rie Nishida’s historical comedy manga was first launched as a short series on Flex Comix’s Comic Polaris manga website on March 18, 2021. It was then serialized on October 14, 2021. Three tankobon volumes have been released as of February 2024.
Tono to Inu follows a former warrior of the Sengoku period named Tono, who has fallen on hard times since his glory days. One day, he comes across a stray dog and adopts him as part of his life.
