A new original anime titled Maebashi Witches has received a trailer, visual, and an April 2025 premiere window.
Set in Gunma’s Maebashi city, Maebashi Witches sees high school girl Yuina Akagi (Sakura Kasuga) getting turned into a witch by a mysterious frog called Geroppe (Tomokazu Sugita), while her room’s closet becomes connected to a strange space. Yuina later meets four other witches — Azu Nisato (Hinano Sakikawa), Kyoka Kitahara (Rena Motomura), Choco Mitsumata (Haruka Minami), and Mai Kamiizumi (Honami Momose).
These five Maebashi Witches will have to grant the wishes of their customers, and as the trailer shows, singing and dancing will be involved.
Sunrise is credited for the production of Maebashi Witches, and the director is Junichi Yamamoto (Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion, More than a Couple, Less than Lovers). Other production credits include:
