Raora Panthera Shares a Taste of hololive

Raora Panthera is one of hololive’s newest members, debuting alongside Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame, Gigi Murin, and Cecilia Immergreen as part of hololive English -Justice-. From her mamma’s pasta, to fries on pizza, Raora is known for her eclectic tastes.

Anime Trending had the exclusive opportunity to interview Raora about what food, art, and culture mean in the digital space.

You love hololive so much, you struggled to pick an oshi! What is it like to meet and collaborate with the members of hololive?

Raora: It all feels so surreal. Even now, weeks later, it still feels surreal! I’m so happy to be here and to be able to collaborate and interact with the people I admire the most, and I’m really grateful for it. At first, I was really shy — I didn’t want to give the wrong impression of myself or make a bad first impression, but it didn’t take long for me to open up to everyone! Here in hololive, everyone is so kind and welcoming, I felt at home from the very first moment!

Your laughter is infectious. What makes you so happy?

Raora: I have to admit, I laugh pretty easily! It doesn’t take much to put a smile on my face. I’m just so genuinely happy to be here, and I love spreading that positivity to everyone around me!!!

Your favorite pasta is your mamma’s pasta. Now that many people have accepted you as their mamma, are you ready to carry forward the recipe and tradition?

Raora: Definitely! I’ll keep the tradition going, and I’d love to dive into doing more cooking streams, where I can cook for all my friends! I absolutely love it!

Pasta, pizza, and coffee all tie back to your heritage from the “Romance Empire.” Are there any other parts of that culture you would like to introduce and share with your stream?

Raora: The Romance Empire has so much more to offer than just pasta, pizza, and coffee! I’d love to share the warmth of Italian family gatherings, where everyone comes together with lots of love and laughter. There’s also the joy of living life at a slower pace — “la dolce vita” is all about savoring the sweet moments. Traditional festivals are always full of fun and color, and the craftsmanship, like beautiful fashion and handmade treasures, is simply charming.

Leaving your comfort zone is a big part of your learning journey. What have you learned by drawing on stream?

Raora: Drawing on stream is already a challenge because you’re exposing your creative side to a large audience during the delicate process of creating art. Typically, when you draw, it’s an intimate moment between you and your ideas, but I truly enjoy sharing it with everyone around me. One of the key things I’ve learned from streaming is to trust the process. Keep going until the end, no matter what! Even if it feels like your drawing isn’t going well, you need to stay determined!

On stream, you shared with Cecilia Immergreen that it took you over a year to finally use your screen tablet. What did it take to learn that skill?

Raora: It took a lot of willpower! When I started drawing digitally, I was driven by my desire to follow in the footsteps of my favorite artists and to create a future where I could share my passion for drawing with everyone. Learning to use a screen tablet was a big step, but it was just the beginning. I knew I had so much to learn, and I embraced the challenge with determination. Even now, I feel like my journey as an artist is just starting, and there’s still so much more to discover and achieve!

Your art has been received well by the community! Do you feel any closer to your art-related debut goals?

Raora: Absolutely! Every day, I feel like I’m getting closer to my art-related debut goals. I’m confident that by working hard and continuously improving my skills, more opportunities will come my way. You just have to put yourself out there! I’m feeling incredibly motivated and ready to achieve everything I’ve set out to accomplish.

The Chattini have already shown their support in many ways, including gatherings at conventions. How do you feel about their support?

Raora: When I saw some Chattini in the audience, I got a bit emotional — it was like the reality of everything really sank in! My community means the world to me, and I’m so happy with how it’s growing. Everyone is so kind and supportive, and they take such good care of me. I’ll always work hard for them, and I’m determined to make them proud of me!

You use hand gestures to talk so often, you even stop drawing during your stream to use them. If you could capture your hand gestures for the stream to see, would you do it?

Raora: I’m sure that if you could see my hands while I talk, you’d understand the conversation 150% better! I use hand gestures so naturally that they’ve become an essential part of how I express myself. They help me convey emotions and ideas that words alone sometimes can’t capture.

Being able to share that part of my communication with the stream would be amazing, and I’m really excited about the possibility. I can’t wait for the day when I can fully integrate my hand gestures into my streams — it would make our interactions even more lively and engaging!

Your secret desire for joining hololive was to play Among Us. How do we know you won’t use your God Eyes to gain an unfair advantage?

Raora: You can’t!
