Midnight Grand Orchestra‘s 2022 song “Allegro” has received an anime music video produced by WIT STUDIO and directed by Yuki Kamiya (Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 “Shibuya Incident Arc” opening, Chainsaw Man Ending 3 and 8).
The video sees Midnight Grand Orchestra members Taku Inoue and Hoshimachi Suisei teaming up to bring a project called Allegro to fruition, which later leads to Hoshimachi performing in front of an array of microphones.
Among the music video’s staff credits are Yui Ito (“COLORs”) as color designer, color coordinator, and finishing checker; Unstable’s Satomi Sugimoto (“COLORs,” Spy x Family Code: White co-background art director) as background art director; and Kazuki Yamanaka (“COLORs,” Spy x Family) as animation producer.
Aside from directing, Kamiya also handled the storyboards, unit direction, character designs, graphics and motion work, 3DCG, compositing, and editing.
Midnight Grand Orchestra made its debut in 2022. The unit is composed of Inoue, a music composer/producer, and Hoshimachi, a popular VTuber from hololive. Hoshimachi co-wrote the lyrics to “Allegro” with Inoue.
