The official website for the Uta no Prince-sama multimedia franchise has announced that a new concert film titled Uta no Prince-sama Maji LOVE TABOO NIGHT XXXX is scheduled to premiere in Japan on May 9, 2025. The “XXXX” in the concert film’s title is read as “KISSES” and features the quartet group QUARTET NIGHT.
The CD single of the film’s theme song, “TABOO NIGHT XXXX,” will be released in Japan on December 25, 2024, and will also include the film’s insert song, “JINN-Ω-Ray.” To celebrate the film’s release, the cast members of QUARTET NIGHT will come together for a stage greeting event at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall on May 11, 2025.
The website also reveals the film’s production staff, which consists of Joji Furuta (Visual Prison, Shaman King 2021 series) as chief director, Akiko Seki (Mannaka no Rikkun, Lycoris Recoil episode 5 and 11 director) as director, Chinatsu Kurahana as original character designer, Maki Fujioka (Uta no Prince-sama Maji LOVE ST☆RISH Tours) as character designer, and Elements Garden (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) as music composer. A-1 Pictures is in charge of the animation production.
Other staff members include Hiroshi Nakajima (Uta no Prince Sama Maji Love Kingdom) as CG director, Takeshi Okawa (Uta no Prince-sama Maji LOVE ST☆RISH Tours) as sub CG director, and Katsuyoshi Miyajima (Uta no Prince-sama Maji LOVE ST☆RISH Tours) as character modeling director.
The Uta no Prince-sama multimedia franchise was developed by Broccoli and has inspired several video games, spinoffs, manga, stage plays, and music. It also inspired four television anime series, including a feature film that was screened at Anime Expo 2019 and a 2022 special titled Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love ST☆RISH Tours.
