A new key visual has been unveiled for the upcoming fourth part of Pokémon Horizons: The Series TV anime series, which will begin airing in Japan on October 11, 2024. Part 4 will highlight the new story arc “Rayquaza Rising.”
The new arc will feature characters from the location Kitakami, which was a location that featured in “The Teal Mast” expansion for the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games.
Pokémon Horizons first premiered in Japan on April 14, 2023 and is streaming on Netflix in the United States.
Saori Den (Pokemon: Kami to Yobareshi Arceus opening storyboarder, Pokémon Journeys: The Series 2nd opening, episode director and storyboarder) is credited as the series director, with Daiki Tomiyasu (Pokémon Journeys: The Series chief director) as creative director, Tetsuo Yajima (Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle director, Summer Time Rendering episode 15 storyboarder and director) as action director, Dai Sato (Yurei Deco) as series screenwriter, and Conisch as music composer (Pokémon: Hisuian Snow). OLM is handling the animation production for the series.
Other staff include Rei Yamazaki (Pokémon Journeys: The Series co-Pokémon designer) is serving as the character designer, with Kyoko Ito (Pokémon Journeys: The Series animation director) as sub-character designer.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast includes:

- • Yuka Terasaki as Roy
- • Taku Yashiro as Friede
- • Ikue Otani as Captain Pikachu
Pokémon Horizons: The Series centers on a young Pokémon trainer named Liko (from the Paldea region) and Roy (from the Kanto region). Together, with Friede and Captain Pikachu, they embark on a journey across the Pokémon world to unravel the mysteries of Liko’s pendant and Roy’s Poké Ball.
