Indie anime Ai no Yakusoku, which previously received a trailer in July, has been released on YouTube. The credits of the 16-minute short confirm that, yes, the voice actor behind the short’s main female character, a mage, is Sora Amamiya (Aqua from KonoSuba, Chizuru Mizuhara from Rent-A-Girlfriend).
Furthermore, male protagonist Ran, a lost boy from another world who grows attached to the mage after falling under her care (eventually calling her Sensei), is voiced by Aki Toyosaki (Yunyun from KonoSuba, Yui Hirasawa from K-On!).
The Studio Harutonari production is directed by Tsumori Arato (Whisper Me A Love Song live performance unit director et al.). Its theme song is performed by Kohana Lam, while the insert song is sung by MINA.
A crowdfunding campaign that sought to raise money for the production, which the staff had been funding out of their own pockets, was launched on Campfire on July 20 JST. It ended on and ended on August 19 JST and achieved 1,144,000 yen (~US$7,951) out of its 1 million yen goal. According to Ai no Yakusoku‘s Campfire page, additional funds would be used to further improve the anime’s quality and get it out to more people.
