The Cinema Today website began streaming a 91-second trailer for the live-action film adaptation of Hikaru Nakamura’s Arakawa Under the Bridge manga on its YouTube channel. The trailer features the theme song “Namida no Stardust Train” (Stardust Train of Tears) by the three-member rock band The50kaitenz.
In the story, an upper-class young man named Ko “Riku” Ichinomiya (Kento Hayashi) meets a beautiful homeless girl named Nino (Mirei Kiritani) from the banks of Arakawa River, where many of Tokyo’s most unusual denizens live. NIS America announced that it would release the two television anime series based on the manga in North America in July. In addition to Arakawa Under the Bridge, Nakamura also created Saint Young Men.
