Crunchyroll, in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment, is set to release Bocchi The Rock! compilation films as one feature-length movie in theaters this October.
Originally launched as two separate films in Japan, titled BOCCHI THE ROCK! Re: and BOCCHI THE ROCK! Re: Re:, the combined release will feature new animation and will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles.
The movie will be available in multiple countries, starting in the U.S. and Canada on Oct. 6-8, followed by the U.K., France, and Australia on later dates.
The theatrical release schedule can be viewed below:
- United States and Canada: Oct 6, 7, and 8
- United Kingdom: Oct 7
- France: Oct 15
- Australia: Oct 17
Tickets for the release will be announced soon.
The first film, BOCCHI THE ROCK! Re:, premiered in Japan on June 7, 2024, followed by BOCCHI THE ROCK! Re:Re: on Aug 9, 2024.
On Aug 20, 2024, the compilation films surpassed 1 billion yen at the Japanese box office.
Bocchi the Rock! anime produced by CloverWorks aired from October to December 2022.
Bocchi the Rock! is a Japanese four-panel manga series written and illustrated by Aki Hamaji. It was initially serialized on Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Max magazine on December 19, 2017, as a guest work. A full serialization started in the same magazine on March 19, 2018. It has been collected into six tankobon volumes as of Aug 25, 2023.
