The ASCII Media Works digital magazine Dengeki Comic Japan announced that it has established a Dengeki Comic Japan Digital Manga Rookie of the Year Award.
The Grand Prize winner of the award will receive 12 million yen (about US$155,000).
The award will have five categories: digital manga, digital four-panel manga, digital comic essays, digital manga original work, and digital content. A winner in each category will receive an award of 1 million yen (about US$13,000). The Grand Prize winner, chosen from the winner in each category, will receive an extra 11 million yen (about US$142,000).
