The 2.5 Dimensional Seduction anime has received a second trailer, which has a heavy focus on the cosplay activities of the two lead characters and previews the first cour’s opening song, “Shutter Chance” by Meychan.
Also released was a school uniform version of its second key visual.
2.5 Dimensional Seduction will premiere in Japan on July 5 JST and will have two consecutive cours. HIDIVE has licensed the show. The anime is based on the cosplay-themed romantic comedy manga by Yu Hashimoto, which has been serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ since 2019 and will release its 20th tankoubon volume on July 4 JST.
Seven Seas Entertainment describes the manga as:
“I have no interest in real girls!” So claims Okumura, the president of the school’s manga club. He’s your typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Liliel. Then the new school year starts, and a (real!) 3D girl named Lilysa whose passion is cosplay joins the club. Lilysa convinces Okumura to become her photographer–and guess who her favorite manga character is? Not only that, but Lilysa is into modeling the fetishy stuff! The boundaries between 2D and 3D start to blur as this hot-blooded romantic comedy unfolds.
