The second ending animation sequence from the Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! TV anime has been released on YouTube.
Akihito Sudo (The Dangers in My Heart Episode 6, Wind Breaker Episode 3) storyboarded and unit directed the new and visually striking ED, which takes sporty losing heroine Lemon Yakishio to the stars.
The new ending theme song is a cover of Kylee‘s “CRAZY FOR YOU” by Shion Wakayama in-character as Lemon.
Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! premiered in Japan on July 13 JST (effectively July 14 at 12:30 AM JST) and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll, Bilibili, and iQIYI. The anime is based on the Gagaga Bunko light novel series written by Takibi Amamori and illustrated by Imigimuru, which began in July 2021 and has seven main volumes and a short story anthology as of July 2024. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the plot as:
Plain, boring, and friendless Nukumizu Kazuhiko has witnessed something completely baffling: popular girl Yanami Anna was friend-zoned by her childhood friend and crush! In fact, all the popular girls around him are getting similarly rejected by the boys they like. Without realizing it, Kazuhiko becomes entangled in the relationship drama where all the leading heroines are losing out on love! Can he keep their spirits up and help them find happiness?
The Makeine light novel series was the Gagaga Award winner at the 15th Shougakukan Light Novel Taisho. It has also inspired a manga adaptation by Itachi.
