A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years is a Chinese animated adaptation of Kaisei Enomoto‘s fantasy light novel series that was published under Kadokawa Shoten’s Sneaker Bunko imprint from February 1, 2018 to October 1, 2019. Shugao provided the illustrations for the light novels. Three total volumes were released during its publication. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro from June 2017 to June 2020.
The light novels also inspired a manga adaptation by Koichi Muro that ran in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker magazine from January 22, 2018 until November 22, 2019. Five tankobon volumes were released in total.
Crunchyroll describes the synopsis of A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years as:

Together they embark on a journey to take down the demon king. With her dragon comrade, Reiko claims that she’s his disciple, able to draw from his infinite powers, but is it really from him?
