A new key visual, main theme song artists, and three new voice cast members have been revealed for the upcoming Acro Trip TV anime adaptation. The anime from Happinet will premiere in Japan in October 2024.
The series’ opening theme is “Fragum,” performed by Inori Minase, who voices Berry Blossom/Kaju Noichigo in the series. Meanwhile, the ending theme is “Reversible Baby” by KanoeRana.
In addition, the three new cast members include Showtaro Morikubo as Baryu Omizo, Miharu Hanai as Kokoa, and Chiharu Sawashiro as Tsuki.
They join a main voice cast that includes:
- • Miku Ito as Chizuko Date
- • Inori Minase as Berry Blossom/Kaju Noichigo
- • Nobunaga Shimazaki as Chroma
- • Kengo Kawanishi as Mashiro
Ayumu Kotake (Pet assistant director) is directing the anime, with Shinichi Inotsume (Spy Classroom) as series screenwriter, Toshie Kawamura (Yes! Precure 5) as character designer, and TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND as music composer. Voil is in charge of the animation production for the series.
Acro Trip is based on the magical girl comedy manga by Yone Sawata, which ran in Shueisha’s Ribon magazine from February 3, 2017 to December 1, 2022. Five tankobon volumes were released in total.
The anime’s premise follows a teenage girl named Chizuko who is a big fan of the magical girl Berry Blossom. One day, she is offered a chance to join the evil organization Fossa Magna to have a chance to make her magical girl hero shine better.
