A new Ultraman C-Type figure, the second product from ADK Emotions‘ Figure Project, is currently up for pre-order on TOKUSATSU-DNA until September 27, 5:59 PM JST. The figure has overseas shipping via Buyee, and is expected to be delivered in late December.
The Ultraman C-Type figure is sculpted by veteran Takashi Kinoshita and and is being sold as part of TOKUSATSU-DNA’s TOKUSATSU-DNA Store ProductT collection. The resin sculpt depicts Ultraman firing his Spacium Beam and has LEDs for its eyes and color timer.
The product comes with a height of roughly 30 cm and has a polystone pedestal included with the package. It’s priced at 79,800 yen (~US$552) with tax included.
Kinoshita said of the design, “It was important to capture not just a still image but the essence of the character in action. I tilted the upper body slightly forward to reflect the stance where ULTRAMAN’s Spacium Beam is aimed at a distant, low object. This gives the figure a rounded back when viewed from the side, which I believe closely aligns with ULTRAMAN’s on-screen appearance. The C-type suit gives the character a broad upper body and a powerful presence, but when viewed from the side, you can still sense the slender build of Mr. Furuya. I aimed to convey that balance in the figure’s design.”
ADK Emotions is an “IP producing company” which is involved in areas like merchandising, IP marketing, and anime production. It launched its Figure Project in July 2023, with its first figure being a sculpt based on the Gamera suit from Gamera 2: Attack of Legion.
