The Mono 4-koma manga by Laid-Back Camp‘s Afro is getting a TV anime adaptation. A teaser trailer and visual have been released.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 assistant director Ryota Aikei is in the director’s seat for the show. The animation production company is Soigne, a young studio that was founded in June 2023 and previously produced the music video of VSPO!’s cover of the Your Lie in April opening “Hikarunaru.” Soigne’s president was production assistant on a number of Encouragement of Climb: Third Season and Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit episodes.
The other main staff members of Mono are Takuya Miyahara (Frederica opening movie, Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie co-main animator) as character designer and Yoko Yonaiyama (A Sign of Affection) as series composer.
Mono follows three girls of the Cinephoto club and a manga artist. It started in 2017 and is currently serialized in Maga Time Kirara Carat. The fourth tankoubon volume will be released on April 25, 2024.
