The hololive DEV_IS YouTube channel has released an anime music video for “Feeling Gradation,” one of the tracks from the ReGloss VTuber unit’s newly announced self-titled first album.
Hiromu Oshiro (Sword Art Online: Full Dive opening, Tengoku-Daimakyou motion graphics artist) storyboarded and directed the Studio KAI-produced “Feeling Gradation” video, which sees the five ReGloss members scattered across a city before coming together for the climatic dance sequence. Oshiro also handled the compositing (with assistants), 3DCG, gradation, and editing.
Some of the other staff include Asami Hayakawa (OSHI NO KO co-main animator) as character designer and animation director and Nanako Okazaki (Brave Bang Bravern!) as color designer.
“Feeling Gradation” will be released digitally on September 11 JST. The eight-track ReGloss album, which includes previously released singles like “Shunkan Heartbeat” and “bubble maybe,” is set to launch on November 6 JST. The hololive production online store is taking pre-orders for the album’s limited edition for US$25.24, with shipping to begin after mid-November. The limited edition comes with a special CD jacket with a handwritten autograph from one of the ReGLOSS members (random) and a bonus card for the upcoming hololive OFFICIAL CARD GAME.
The album is part of a wave of announcements for ReGloss, which is celebrating its first anniversary (its members debuted on September 9 and 10 JST last year). Among the other announcements include a 3D Live stream (set to be streamed on September 28 at 8PM JST) and various first anniversary goods.
ReGloss is the first group from the hololive DEV_IS branch, which is themed around taking on new challenges as a unit. The ReGloss unit, which is composed of Hiodoshi Ao, Otonose Kanade, Ichijou Ririka, Juufuutei Raden, and Todoroki Hajime, focuses on music, although its members also stream games on their individual YouTube channels.
