Crunchyroll has announced that the two-part Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction anime feature film will stream worldwide as an 18-episode TV series on its service starting on May 23, 2024. Part one premiered in Japan on March 22, 2024, while part two is scheduled to be released on May 24, 2024.
The TV version of Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction will include brand-new footage not seen in the theatrical film. New episodes will be uploaded weekly every Thursday evening at 8:00 PST.
Tomoyuki Kurokawa (Break of Dawn) is directing the two-part film series, with Nobutake Ito (Inu-Oh, The Night is Short, Walk on Girl) as character designer and chief animation director, Reiko Yoshida (A Silent Voice) as scriptwriter, Satoshi Takezawa (Kokkoku) as color designer, Mika Nishimura (Dorohedoro assistant art director) as art director, Takuma Morooka (Keijo!!!!!!!!) as compositing director, and Taro Umebayashi (Yuri!!! on Ice) as music composer. Production +h. is in charge of the animation production.

The anime is based on the manga series by Inio Asano, which was serialized in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits from April 28, 2014 to February 28, 2022 for a total of 12 tankobon volumes. Viz Media releases the manga in English.
