Failure Frame Anime Announced For 2024 With Teaser Trailer

An anime adaptation of the Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything With Low-Level Spells light novels by Kaoru Shinozaki has been announced with a 2024 release date, teaser trailer, and teaser visual.

Michio Fukuda (Tesla Note) is directing the series, which is produced by Seven Arcs with production cooperation from SynergySP. Other main staff include Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Chained Soldier) as series composer, Kanna Hashidate (Extreme Hearts co-chief animation director) as character designer and chief animation director, and Tatsuhiko Saiki (The Dawn of the Witch) as music composer.

The OVERLAP Bunko isekai light novels, which are illustrated by KWKM, began in 2018 and have eight volumes as of November 2021. Seven Seas describes Failure Frame‘s plot as:

Abruptly catapulted into a fantasy world, Mimori Touka and his classmates have been summoned by the world’s resident Goddess to serve as heroes. Luckily, most of the students display amazing skills upon arrival—except for Mimori, whose abilities bottom out at a measly E-rank. With no further use for him, the Goddess banishes Mimori to a dungeon from which no one has ever returned alive. Yet, as it turns out, Mimori’s skills aren’t so much worthless as they are abnormal. Abnormally powerful, even. If Mimori can only claw his way back to the surface, nothing will stand in his way from getting revenge.

Failure Frame began as a web novel published on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2017. A manga adaptation started in 2019.
