GSC Reveals Bocchi The Rock! Recap Part 1 Malaysia Fan Screening Details


Before Bocchi the Rock! Recap Part 1 begins its general screening in Malaysia in August, Golden Screen Cinemas will host a fan screening on July 27 GMT+8 at its Mid Valley Megamall location.

Advance fan screening ticket sales for the anime compilation film have already begun (RM100 is the price of a ticket). The freebies include:

• One Japan Import Original Comic (1 design)
• One Japan Import W1 Mini Shikishi Art Board (random, four designs total)
• One Japan Import W2 Sticker Set
• One Japan Import W3 Cable Holder (random, two designs total)

Bocchi the Rock! Recap Part 1 premiered in Japan as Bocchi the Rock! Re:. The second part, titled Bocchi the Rock! Re:Re:, will begin screening on August 9 JST. The compilations of the Fall 2022 Bocchi the Rock! TV anime have also been licensed for a theatrical release in North America.

Bocchi the Rock! is based on the Houbunsha-published 4-koma manga by Aki Hamazi. The series follows the anxiety-ridden Hitori “Bocchi” Gotoh, who becomes a skilled guitar player but remains socially awkward. Hitori’s life starts to change when she is invited to join a band led by the cheerful Nijika Ijichi. The manga is serialized in Manga Time Kirara and has six volumes as of August 2023.
