Modern Warfare III and Warzone

A few mobile suits are heading to the battlefields of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare IIICall of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile as part of the first-person shooters’ upcoming Season 4 update.

As outlined in a recent and hefty blog post, MW3’s fourth season will bring in three Mobile Suit Gundam Tracer Packs, which will allow players to dress up as the classic RX-78-2 Gundam, the MS-06S Zaku II, and the XVX-016 Gundam Aerial. Aside from these Operator Suits, the packs will include three Blueprints, a Calling Card, an Emblem, and varying quantities of Loading Screens, Weapon Stickers, Weapon Charms, and Large Decals. The RX-78-2 and Zaku II Tracer Packs will also come with the “Newtype Finisher” and “Searing Slash” Finishing Moves, respectively.

The game will also host a Gundam-themed event called Mobile Suit Gundam Legends, which will run from June 5 to June 19. The event will grant players with the RX-78-2, Zaku II, or Aerial skins an XP boost, and the earned XP can be used to unlock “Gundam-themed rewards.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III was launched in November 2023 as the surprise sequel to 2022’s Modern Warfare II, with reports indicating that what was released as Modern Warfare III was originally conceived as a Modern Warfare II expansion. The current iteration of Warzone, which differs from the typical Call of Duty title by being a free-to-play Battle Royale game, was originally released in November 2022 as Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, replacing the original Warzone that debuted in 2020. Warzone Mobile was introduced in March 2024.

The Season 4 update will arrive on May 29 at 9 AM PT. Modern Warfare III and Warzone are available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net and Steam.
