VTuber Watson Amelia, one of the members of hololive English’s first generation, Myth, will have her final stream on September 30.
While Watson’s channel and social media activities are coming to a close, an official announcement says that she will “remain an affiliate of hololive production moving forward.” Her existing merchandise and “other items” will continue to be sold as well.
In a short stream on her channel, Watson, who is often referred to as Ame, said that the move was “technically not a graduation by name” and was not influenced by “personal or private circumstances.” Watson didn’t elaborate on her reasons for stopping her activities, but said that they were “really simple.”
“I might be hard to see now, but yeah, I do think that everything is gonna turn out okay,” she said. “I believe it, and after everything, I feel like you guys also helped me believe in myself. You guys taught me that the “Ame Way” is too strong, [and too] stubborn.”
Until September 30’s “grand finale,” Watson will continue to participate in the ongoing holoGTA roleplay event. She also has plans for several endurance streams, a charity stream, two more member streams, and “a ton of collabs.”
The detective-themed VTuber’s YouTube memberships and members-only Content will remain available until October 31 at 7:59 AM PDT. Fan letters will continue to be accepted until November 29 PDT.
