Kaiten Books announced this past week that it has licensed Kaede Nogiwa’s Blue Archive: Problem Solver 68 Business Diary spinoff manga in English. The first volume will be released in physical and digital format on July 12, 2024 and can now be pre-ordered at most retailers.
Nogiwa first launched the manga on October 14, 2022 on Bushiroad Works’ Comic Growl website. Two tankobon volumes have been released as of January 2024, with a third volume due out on July 8, 2024.
The manga’s translation is being handled by Wakaba, with Christian Knoll as editor, Alice Rundcrantz Leise as typesetter, and Ryan Fornoles providing quality assurance.
The manga is a spinoff title of the Blue Archive mobile RPG, focused on characters from the Problem Solver 68 school club. The main game was first launched in Japan on February 4, 2021, before making its worldwide debut on November 8, 2021. The game also inspired another manga spinoff and a 2024 TV anime adaptation.
Kaiten Books describes the synopsis as:
Welcome to Kivotos, the Academy City, where students spend their daily lives armed. Follow the lives of the four girls who run a business here as they take on all kinds of odd jobs just to keep it afloat. With the self-proclaimed Outlaw CEO, Rikuhachima Aru, at the helm, Problem Solver 68 is always ready to stir up a storm! Tag along with the crew on their misadventures in the long-awaited official Blue Archive spin-off manga!
The publisher is also offering a special bonus with exclusive extras when purchasing either the physical or digital version through its official website. The first 500 physical orders will come with one of two unique bonus illustration cards chosen for the launch of the series, while every digital order will come with an exclusive bonus comic as well as hi-res wallpapers for phone, tablet, and computers.
