Magia Exedra Mobile Game Gets Teaser Trailer

Aniplex has released a mildly haunting teaser trailer for Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra, the upcoming new Madoka Magica mobile game that was announced in April. It also revealed that an official program for the game will be held on July 2 and streamed on the official Magia Exedra YouTube channel.

The trailer shows us the silhouette of a girl and a green-eyed Kyubey in a fenced space that feels apart from our world, with a gate bearing the image of a soul gem. The various text that appear onscreen indicate that memory is central to Magia Exedra‘s premise: there’s mention of a “lighthouse theater” where the light of magical girls’ memories are lit, and the girl wonders about who she is. Meanwhile, Kyubey requests for help in gathering said memory light.

At the end of the trailer, there are the words, “Come, let us open them. The memories of Magical Girls.” This is accompanied by illustrations of not just the original Madoka cast, but those of spin-off game Magia Record, which ends its services this July.

Magia Exedra will be released sometime in 2024. It’s co-developed by SINoALICE’PokeLabo and Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story‘s f4samurai, with PokeLabo handling the management as well.
