A second new “company introduction” poster-styled visual from Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. has been released for the magical girl company, MIYAKODO, highlighting the beautiful Lily Aoi. The anime will premiere in Japan on October 4, 2024.
The two newly revealed cast members include Kaori Ishihara as Lily Aoi and Kikuko Inoue as Miyako Aso.
They join a main voice cast that is headlined by:
- • Fairouz Ai as Kana Sakuragi
- • Yumiri Hanamori as Hitomi Shigaya
- • Rikiya Koyama as Koji Shigemoto
- • Daiki Yamashita as Kazuo Nikoyama
- • Ryota Osaka as Kaede Midorikawa
Masahiro Hiraoka (Kakegurui Twin and One Punch Man Season 2 CG director) is directing the anime, with Shingo Nagai (Girly Air Force series screenwriter and co-scriptwriter) as screenwriter and scriptwriter, Hidehiro Asama (Pokémon Card Game CM, Kakegurui Twin CG layout artist) as character designer, and Makoto Miyazaki (Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead) as music composer. Studio MOE and J.C.STAFF are handling the animation production.
Amazon Prime Video is streaming the series worldwide under the abbreviated title Magilumiere Co. Ltd. It will also stream on other services in Japan at a later date. It has not yet been announced whether or not Amazon’s streaming rights are exclusive to the service, nor has a schedule been released.
The anime is based on the magical girl manga series, written by Sekka Iwata and illustrated by Yu Aoki. It was first serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website and app on October 20, 2021 and has released 13 tankobon volumes as of September 2024, with a 14th volume set for release on October 4, 2024. The manga is also published in English digitally on the Manga PLUS platform.
VIZ Media releases the Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. manga in English, describing the main synopsis as:
Kana Sakuragi is an excellent candidate for the job. Any job! She’s motivated and organized, and has a fantastic memory. So why has she interviewed at over 15 companies without receiving a single offer? She’s trying to keep a positive attitude, but it seems like her bad luck is only getting worse when a monster crashes her latest interview. As havoc ensues, she finds herself helping the magical girl who comes to their rescue and ends up with more than just her life in return.
