A new main key visual has been released for the 12th episode of the ongoing seventh season of My Hero Academia. The 12th episode will air in Japan on August 3, 2024, while the seventh season overall first debuted on May 4, 2024.
Kenji Nagasaki (returning, director of the first three seasons) is serving as the chief director of season seven, with Naomi Nakayama (Koikimo; Orange chief director; My Hero Academia Episode 78, 83, and 87 storyboard artist, My Hero Academia Episode 64 director) as director, Yoshihiko Umakoshi (returning) and Hitomi Odashima (returning) as character designers, Yuki Hayashi (returning) as music composer. Bones is handling the animation production for the series once again.
A total of 21 total episodes are scheduled to broadcast into Fall 2024. Crunchyroll, Ani-One Asia, bilibili, and iQIYI are some of the streaming platforms releasing the show worldwide, outside of Japan. The long-running TV anime adaptation first aired in 2016, with the most recent sixth season airing from October 2022 to March 2023.
Kohei Horikoshi’s original superhero action manga series has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since July 7, 2014. Forty tankobon volumes have been released as of April 2024, with a 41st volume due out on August 2, 2024. VIZ Media releases the manga series in English for North America.
The series has also inspired several manga spinoffs, video games, and four anime films, with the most recent My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next scheduled to debut in Japan on August 2, 2024.

Society has crumbled, along with its faith in heroes, with the all-out battle causing great damage. With the heroes defeated, Shigaraki, All For One, and others plot their takeover. As the final battle draws near, Deku, along with his U.A. classmates and other heroes, including one from America, come together to face this onslaught. Will it be enough to restore peace?
