We’ve seen the heroes, so now it’s time for the villains to take the spotlight. My Hero Academia Season 7 has received a new promotional visual, which groups Tomura Shigaraki, Toga Himiko, Dabi, and All-for-One in one image.
My Hero Academia Season 7 is set to start airing on May 4 in Japan, after the four My Hero Academia Memories recap episodes that begin in April. It’ll mark the debut of Romi Park‘s Star and Stripe.
My Hero Academia is based on the Weekly Shonen Jump manga by Kouhei Horikoshi, which began serialization in 2014 and has 39 tankoubon volumes as of November 2023. Viz Media describes its plot as:
Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…
The Bones-produced anime adaptation began in 2016. Season 6 started airing in October 2022 and ended in March 2023. The fourth My Hero Academia anime movie, My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next, hits Japanese theaters on August 2.
