A new main key visual has been released for the upcoming third season of Nights with a Cat, which will begin streaming on YouTube in December 2024.
The main visual highlights the main feline character, Kyuruga with two new cat friends, Chikuwa and Konbu. Two separate character visuals for Chikuwa and Konbu were also released on the anime’s official Twitter account.
The second season of Nights with a Cat premiered on March 8, 2023 and ended on November 15, 2023. The first season aired on Japanese television from August 4, 2022 to September 22, 2022. It was then streamed on YouTube from October 12, 2022 to January 11, 2023.
All 60 episodes of the anime’s first two seasons are available to stream on YouTube with English subtitles.
Previous staff members that worked on the first and second seasons include Minoru Ashina (Isekai Quartet) as director and screenwriter, Minoru Takehara (Isekai Quartet) as character designer and animation director, and Kana Utatane (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform) as music composer. Studio PuYUKAI handled the animation production for the series.
The anime’s main voice cast is headlined by Satoshi Hino as Fuuta-kun, Atsumi Tanezaki as Pii-chan, and Ayahi Takagaki as Kyuruga.
Kyuryu Z’s original web manga series began serialization on the author’s Twitter account in December 2019, before being picked up by Kadokawa for publication in Comic Bridge on October 29, 2020. Six tankobon volumes have been released as of May 2024.
Yen Press releases the Nights with a Cat manga series in English, describing the main synopsis as:
When Fuuta comes home tired at night, all he wants to do is spend time with his new cat. All the mysterious habits and mannerisms of house cats are carefully reproduced in this relaxed and cute comedy about living with an adorable furball!
